Breiteig, Bjarte
His first book, Fantomsmerter, attracted widespread attention and received glowing reviews. In 2003 Bjarte Breiteig (b 1974) was one of five young authors whose work was included in a collection of short stories published under the title of borders by the European literary project Scritture Giovani. Each writer's contribution appears in five languages: Welsh, German, English, Norwegian and Italian. The five are also presented at Festivaletteratura Mantova, Italy, The Guardian Hay Festival, Wales, Internationales literaturfestival Berlin, Germany, Bjørnsonfestivalen Molde og Nesset, Norway.
