The Bird Catcher Tree
Sund, Torvald: FuglefangartreetA boy is with his grandmother at the family cottage. Unfortunately this grandmother is not like other grandmothers. She sends the boy out to cut down trees with a worn-out axe, forces him to gather blueberries, where there are no blueberries, and feeds him porridge with fish remains. Little by little the terrible truth dawns on him – grandmother has a meat-eating tree behind the cottage. Is she planning a large meal for the tree?
