A Handbook for André - The Art of Holding a Camera
Sæther, Yngve: En håndbok for André - Kunsten å holde et kameraIt’s the last day at school before the summer holidays, but André is not happy. His older sister Karin is not there anymore. Her body is lying in a hospital bed, completely motionless, and no one knows whether her thoughts will ever return to her. But then he meets Pia. And they both get to know Alex.
Alex is a famous photographer who has lost his drive, and instead of pursuing his art spends the summer refurbishing André’s family’s apartment. Alex teaches the kids to catch motion with a camera lens, to hold a camera, to tell a story. But most of all he teaches them to see. The result is a handbook - A handbook for André. Through the handbook André gets an introduction to film making and the art of creative thinking. And so does the reader of André’s story.
