A Time to Kill

Harsten, Inge: En tid til å drepe

Consultant Odd Nyborg is killed by a rifle bullet on Vibes Street in Oslo. Investigators Else Viken and Hans Haugland have obtained a detailed description that might fit an Italian man living in Bærum, but this Luigi fellow has vanished from the face of the earth. On the other hand, the reader gets to know that the sniper isn't really a man, but a woman. Or is he really? Things are turning out to be a lot more complicated than that. It also becomes clear that the sniper has killed before; many, many times. The Norwegian police force in cooperation with Interpol initiate a hunt for a very different kind of a serial killer, and this hunt takes us to London, Paris, Istanbul, the Cà´te d'Azur and the Italian riviera. What is the motivation behind this killing machine? Slowly the reader realises that the hired assassin has experienced the cruellest European tragedy since World War II, up close. And soon she only has one assignment left...
