Out of the Pool

Anthun, Frank O.: Ut av bassenget

In his attempt to get over the loss of his girlfriend Mimi Hoff, the young law student Glenn starts to experiment with valium. It gets harder and harder to get the doctor to prescribe the necessary amount, and Glenn seeks deliverance through various art-projects, before he travels to Germany, where he hopes to arrange a meeting with his big idol, the author Jürgen Becker. The story is controlled by Glenn’s original interpretations of reality, which are expressed in a language that unites the imaginative, the melancholic and the shrewd.
