Triggerhappy
Davidsen, Trond: TriggerhappyStories from an urban, trend-conscious environment, inconsiderately and recklessly told by the main character Thea –n twenty-something, law student. Thea is incredibly sharp when it comes to judging situations and other people, but is balancing on the edge of a knife herself. The language in the book defines and characterizes the protagonist; the verbal style contributes in showing the distance between feelings and the expression of them. Indifference and disillusion mark Thea’s version of the story, and the novel can be read as an expression of the spirit of an age. This is a novel from a warped side, and it is substantially fake and real in its naïve and raging tone, it is cynical and concise, and it is both shallow and abundant.
”… an unusually good debut”

”…that sort of novel where there’s quite a few years in between every time you experience something that resembles it… a sterling and original work… Davidsen has written a lovely debut novel.”
