The Sigrid-trilogy: Silverhammer

Henriksen, Vera: Sølvhammeren

THE SILVER HAMMER is the first volume of the SIGRID TRILOGY. The novel takes place in the dramatic period of upheaval when King Olav Haraldsson tried to convert the Norwegian pagan worshippers of Odin and Thor to Christianity. The story centres on the relationship between Sigrid, a wild and spoilt daughter of a powerful local chieftain, and her much older husband Olve.
