In April 2003, Bror disappears. But where does the story begin, the same Bror - the narrator in this novel – asks; where does it continue and where does it end?

In his fourth novel, Runo Isaksen writes the story of Bror and Ung, of Ung's sister Inger, who Bror has always loved, and of Selmar and Rut, struggling in their marriage. Far into the future, Bror is thinking about what happened before he abruptly disappeared an April day in 2003. This is how we come to understand the answers to the many intriguing questions posed by Bror's reflections.
