Nilsen, Tove: G for GeorgThere are a few weeks left of the summer holidays, and Tove and her parents are visiting her grandmother and grandfather. G for George picks up just about where the last novel Summer of Skyscrapers left off. But this novel can also be read independently – as a novel about a few weeks late in summer when innocence is lost and an overwhelming gravity takes over the lives of two teenagers – written with the empathy and a linguistic exuberance that has long ago become Tove Nilsen’s trademark.
