Parabellum
Ovre, Lars: ParabellumSi vis pacem, para bellum: "If you wish for peace, prepare for war".
An accident occurs at an industrial workplace and a boy is badly and permanently injured. The boy’s father acquires a gun, and set into motion a series of actions to find a way out of the fatal situation his family suddenly finds themselves in. While his plans take shape, his position at work changes. Several of his colleagues are drawn into his intrigues – and he is drawn into theirs. In the midst of everything is the friendship between the disfigured boy and the factory owner’s son.
The relationship between police, the management and the employees drive the story to a tragic and violent climax – anticipated by a series of dramatic interludes which reveal the characters’ background and expose both the main character and the people around him.
