16.07.41
Solstad, Dag: 16.07.41The author Dag Solstad is the principal person in this novel, which begins with a flight to Frankfurt some ten years ago, where Solstad sits and studies cloud formations: "I took in this heavenly landscape, and found it natural to see angels, fabled creatures and allegoric performances inside this spherical panorama." In 2001, Solstad lives in a flat in Maybachufer 8, Berlin. Wandering up and down the streets, and on the Berlin Strassenbahn, the author himself, Dag Solstad, is zoomed in on. There are moments of joy and quietness, of fear and despair. The novel also brings us to Lillehammer and to Solstad’s childhood home in Sandefjord.
