The Writing Behind the Mirror

Vindtorn, Triztan: Skriften bak speilet

It is obvious that you can build a bird cage out of fish and create a common consciousness so long as you cease to regard what is simple and comprehensible as synonymous with quality. The same is true if you can accept the fact that a book is not simply a commodity.

The reflection that writing establishes in the hope of reaching the nirvana of unreason can often be traced to the point where the reader stares blindly into the mirror of the text. In those blissful moments when you forget your own prejudices, and when you use your feelings as a key to the code you can also experience the mysterious drama of the writing. In the most positive scenario chinks will then appear in the reflection and you catch a glimpse of the original landscape behind it – a landscape that you can never put into words.
