Strong Hunger, Sudden Nausea

Marstein, Trude: Sterk sult, plutselig kvalme

Strong Hunger, Sudden Nausea is a collection of short and longer texts that establish easily recognisable situations or episodes in the relationship between him and her. It is about chatting up, infidelity, dependence, boredom and sex. The texts alternate between her and his point of view, both equally convincing. At the same time, Marstein writes with a sort of distance that shows the communication between partners in general; often superficial, though often functional, even if the meaning is locked into something incomplete.
