Corruption Hunter

Joly, Eva: Korrupsjonsjeger

Eva Joly went to France as an au pair when she was twenty and ended up marrying her employers' son, by whom she later had two children. She went on to study law and was for eight years public prosecutor in Orléans and Evry. In 1990 she moved to the Ministry of Finance, before, in 1994, joining the staff of the Public Prosecutor's Office, where she worked under the aegis of the Ministry of Justice to combat financial crime. Her efforts to counter corruption have won for her international renown.
