Happy Days
Undset, Sigrid: Lykkelige dagerIn 1940, Sigrid Undset moved to the US, where she conducted and efficient anti-Nazi work and portrayed life in Norway and the Nordic countries in speeches and publications.
Among these was Happy Days in Norway from 1942, written for an American audience, where Undset tells of the happy time with her children at Bjerkebæk in Lillehammer in peacetime. The book was published in Norwegian in 1947 under the title Happy Days.
