About the editors:
Harriet Holter was Professor of social psychology at the University of Oslo. Her previous books include Patriarchy in Welfare Society (1984) and Kvinner i fellesskap ( Women in Fellowship) (1982).
Ragnvald Kalleberg is an associate Professor of sociology at the University of Oslo.
