Skårderud, Finn, Erling Sandmo and Willy Pedersen: Noen sporThe texts in Some traces often spring from concrete, even mundane phenomena, and we read about witches, ghosts, veils, the spaceship Columbia, a manor in Bergen, November fog, operas, Göran Tunström and Arnold Schwarzenegger. But all the time, the reader’s thoughts are led in the direction of larger and more subtle issues.
The essays were originally written for a column in Dagbladet's Saturday Magazine. In this book, fifty of the best texts have been picked out and sorted into seven different categories, such as "Memory", "Ties" and "Night". Each of the three authors have their individual approach and ways of expression, and after having written together for several years, they have created a unique genre within Norwegian literature. The book is illustrated by André Martinsen.
