To Siberia earns starred review in Publisher's Weekly

Per Petterson's novel To Siberia , which will be launched in the U.S. by Graywolf in October, has earned a starred review in Publisher's Weekly.

Praising in particular the first half of the book as "breathtaking and mesmerizing", the reviewer writes: "[To Siberia] has all of Pettersen's [sic] haunted charms [...] The book builds up slowly, casting a spell of beauty and devastation that matches the bleak but dazzling climate that enshrouds Sistermine's young life."

Originally published in 1996, To Siberia has been translated into nine languages.
