Liv Køltzow made her debut as an author with the short story collection ØYET I TREET in 1970, and has since written novels, short stories and biographies. In 1973 she was co-author of the play JENTELOVEN. In 1997 Liv Køltzow was awarded the Brage Prize for her novel VANISHING WORLD. She has been nominated for the Nordic Council’s Prize for Literature for the novel HVEM HAR DITT ANSIKT? as well as for her latest novel THE UNFINISHED PICTURE.

"Køltzow's models are authors like Marcel Proust and Virginia Woolf. As a reviewer one should not take too lightly the use of great words. But let it be said: Køltzow doesn't bring shame upon her teachers..."
