The Rabbits are Singing in the Dark
Hagerup, Klaus: Kaninene synger i mørketElse and her uncle Robert travel to Oxford – to Lewis Caroll’a a s and Alice’s world – a journey that proves to be fantastic, quite literally. Uncle Robert runs and disappears out of the story like a rabbit, and Else has to look for him for a long time before they meet again. Flying dogs, stubborn bird’s foot trefoils and a dodo – these are only some of the creatures she gets to know in the course of her search. The best thing is that she finds a loyal friend, and that her uncle is still alive for her. The rabbits sing in the dark is an incredible story, in which Hagerup unites humour and melancholy in a superb way. The book is illustrated by Tore Hansen.
