The Death of a Peace Negotiator

Groth, Vibecke: En fredsmeglers død

The diplomat Per Dahl is found dead by the pool at Grand Hotell in Oslo. Dahl had been an important figure in the Foreign Ministry’s secret peace negotiation unit in New York. The investigation into the murder gets enormous attention, from news media and intelligence services both at home and abroad. In the middle of it all stands the lawyer Vera L. Cappelen, partner in a larger Oslo company and defence counsel to the main suspect. Together with a colleague she starts making her own investigations and find evidence that point to New York and the Middle East as well as the wealthy suburbs of Oslo.
