The Lawyers

The lawyer Erling Winther is murdered in an unusually cruel and bloody manner in his luxurios house in the hills above Oslo. The police arrests one of their old acquaintances, Tommy Olsen, who met the lawyer the night before in a bar. Together with Winther’s wife and one of the most notorious characters of the Oslo underworld, he is suspected of the murder. The business lawyer Vera Cappelen is given the task of defending Olsen. She starts her own investigation, uncovering evidence pointing in several directions. But when two more murders take place, she realizes that her own life may be threatened, and that failure is not an option.
