The Dream and the Wheel

One of Bjørneboe's most popular novels, THE DREAM AND THE WHEEL deals with the tragic life of the Norwegian female bohemian writer Ragnhild Jølsen. Jølsen's books belong to the decadent period and are among the most remarkable works from the first decade of the 20th century. She died in 1908, 33 years old, probably from an overdose of sleeping powder.
