After the Party

After the Party is an independent sequel to Before the Party and After (2010), where we followed Espen, the musician, to a 70^th birthday celebration that turned out to be fateful. Espen had other motives in joining, other than pleasing Hennie, who invited him. After the death in the previous book, Espen was seen as an obvious suspect.

In this year’s novel the events are seen from another point of view. We follow the victim’s oldest daughter in the weeks following the celebration, and it becomes clear what really happened to her dad. The novel describes family dramas as recognizable as they are extreme. The unfolding of events not only uncovers the real culprit, but also what the true glue that holds a family together is.
